About us

Tom Seidel, M. A., studied philosophy at Humboldt University and linguistics at the Technical University in Berlin. From 2002 to 2005 he worked at the Department of Philosophy at the Technical University of Dresden, where he taught on the course “Introduction to Academic Writing”, among other courses. In 2004 he was co-editor of the “Berliner Debatte Initial” journal, heading the division on institutions. In 2009/10 he was a lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Humboldt University Berlin. In March 2005 he co-founded the proofreading, editing and translation service “Die Korrigierer” in Berlin. Since 2013 he’s been living in Brighton, UK.


Isabel Seidel, M.A., MLitt, PhD, studied English literature, Spanish literature, and philosophy at the Technical University of Dresden and the University of Liverpool. For seven years she worked as a teacher for English and German as a Foreign Language at various language schools in Germany. Since 2006 she has been working as a proofreader and translator for English and German. In 2009 she graduated from a one-year Master’s degree programme in “The Novel” at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Following that, she studied for her PhD in English literature also at the University of Aberdeen and was awarded her doctorate in 2014.
